Install vinyl plank flooring
Click-together vinyl plank is one of the most popular DIY floors. The videos here lay it over a wood subfloor, in a manufactured home and through an entire house. Prep decides the result: the subfloor has to be clean, flat and dry, and the planks need to acclimate in the room before you start.
Plan the layout before you click anything, so the last row is not a sliver. Leave an expansion gap at the walls, as the maker states; baseboard or trim covers it. A miter saw or utility knife cuts the planks, and an oscillating multi-tool trims door casings. Work in a dust mask when cutting. Finish with baseboard. It suits beginners, and a bedroom is a good first room.
