Install a dishwasher
A dishwasher connects to three things: a hot water supply, a drain and power. The videos here add a new dishwasher with a two-branch valve, and replace an old one. Turn off the water at the valve and the power at the breaker, and test the wires before you touch them. A non-contact voltage tester does the test quickly.
Check three details before you buy: the opening size, where the supply and drain run, and whether your drain needs a high loop or an air gap (local code decides). If you add a new circuit, that is a permit job, so see do you need a permit?. Run a full cycle and check every connection for leaks.
