Bedroom

Bedrooms are the easiest rooms to freshen up because they hold little: no plumbing, few outlets and plenty of floor to work on. The videos here cover painting a room, installing baseboard trim with mitered corners, and laying click-together vinyl plank over a subfloor.

Do the jobs in order: paint first, then flooring, then trim, so you are never cutting in around finished work. A miter saw makes the trim cuts quick, and a stud finder tells you where to nail. Switching an outlet or fixture while you are in there? Shut off the breaker and confirm it is dead with a non-contact voltage tester.
