Exterior and yard
Outdoor projects ask for more planning than indoor ones. Before you dig or frame anything, call your utility locator, check setbacks and ask your building department whether you need a permit. The videos here range from a floating shed foundation to running underground power to a shed and replacing a shed roof with corrugated metal.
Ground-level structures are good first builds if you can frame square and level. Anything that ties into your electrical panel, anything with a roof over people, and anything on a slope is a different matter. Underground power is electrician territory in most places, and roof work always needs fall protection. Read when to call a licensed pro before you start.

DIY Lean-To Shed

Shed to Workshop Conversion
Mike Montgomery of Modern Builds starts with a shed that has decent bones but a lot of problems: a worn floor, a wall and door close to falling off, a failing roof and nothing inside.
