The Honest Carpenter

The Honest Carpenter’s videos here are quick household fixes. One shows three strike plate fixes for a door that won’t latch, from easiest to hardest. Another clears, resets and cleans a jammed garbage disposal, and a third replaces a toilet flapper, fill valve and supply line step by step.

These are the right size for a first repair. For the disposal, never put a hand into it. Switch off the power at the wall and breaker before you free the jam, and follow the video’s steps.
